OCD, Superstition and Sport

9/8/2012

There's an interesting article on the TalkSport website, all about superstitions, habits, and some of the OCD-like compulsions that various famous sporting celebrities have spoken about. The Talksport article refers to some of the habits and compulsions allegedly described by Rafa Nadal, Michael Jordan, and Rebecca Adlington, among others.
Sports stars often talk about their unusual compulsions and superstitions, which they usually carry out before a match or game, or during a competition. It's a light-hearted article, but touches (slightly) on what might be an important question, which is: where does superstition end, and OCD begin? Take a look at the TalkSport article, and see what you think.
