This week there are two different awareness weeks running. From 14 - 20 October 2013 there's the International OCD Awareness Week, led by the International OCD Foundation, who are based in the USA. And from 12 -19 October there's also Hate Crime Awareness Week, led by the UK-based Mencap.
So there'll be lots going on this week on social media about both of those important topics. International OCD Week will be spreading awareness about obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and Hate Crime Awareness Week will be putting the spotlight on disability hatecrime.
If you take a look at the Mencap website you'll find an article they've published called Four Things You Probably Didn't Know About Disability Hate Crime. (And the Twitter hashtag Mencap are using for this awareness week is #HateCrimeAwarenessWeek.)
